FIFA has announced that its digital platform for marketing and selling collectibles will now be available to football clubs and federations. This initiative aims to enhance fan engagement by allowing these entities to create and market their own digital collectibles and merchandise using FIFA’s advanced technology.
Announcement Made at Monte Carlo Event
The news was unveiled at a recent event focused on the future of football and Web 3.0 in Monte Carlo. The FIFA Plus Collect platform will enable clubs to leverage cutting-edge technology to produce unique collectibles for various teams. This move is expected to significantly boost fan engagement and open up new marketing and sponsorship opportunities.
Innovative Fan Engagement
Football fans can look forward to an innovative way to express their support and participate in the sport’s highs and lows through these digital collectibles. FIFA Connect+, launched in September 2022, already allows fans to collect digital items from FIFA World Cup and FIFA Women’s World Cup games, including imagery and key game moments.
Exclusive Collections and Language Expansion
The platform features limited-edition and exclusive collections, celebrating events like the FIFA Club World Cup Saudi Arabia 2023, which introduced around 900 new collectibles. Initially available in English, Spanish, and French, the platform will soon support additional languages, enhancing its accessibility to a global audience.

Opening the platform to clubs and federations, Francesco Abbate, CEO of Modex, emphasized that FIFA Plus Collect now offers fans a unique way to own pieces of football history.
